Cabinning at Camp Allegany

Weekend Cabinning for Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts at Allegany State Park's Camp Allegany. Dates are determined!

We'll be doing the following activities:

Winter Battles

Bring your sled, snowblock and winter tools as the boys will build snow bases starting on Friday afternoon.

Sledding

We'll pick a hill and go sledding.

Fire Prep, Building Wooden Toys and Carving

Boy Scouts will be going over fire building with the Cub Scouts and they will gather and create materials and build different types of fires.

Boy Scouts will be cooking a meal on the fire.

Electronics and Tools

Bring your old tech and tools and the kids will learn to take it apart.

Mess Hall

Cooking, Setting Tables, Cleaning and Washing Dishes using a commercial dishwasher; kids love doing dishes FAST!

Winter Werewolf

Some of the boys play card games at night and we're planning on playing a group werewolf game in the mess hall!

We're looking to go snowshoeing! We'll be looking to get rental prices. If you have snowshoes then please tell us.

Cost

Estimated cost of $25 per person for the weekend which covers lodging and meals for Dinner on Friday, Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner on Saturday and Breakfast on Sunday.
